Erin Austin

Vice President, Pharmacovigilance Services

Erin Austin is the Vice President, Pharmacovigilance Services for Nextrove.  She is responsible for building, growing, and collaborating with Nextrove’s clients to form lasting partnerships.

Erin has over 19 years of PV experience, with expertise in case processing, business processes, PV System Management, User Training, and operations administration.  Erin started her career at PPD as a Product Safety Assistant, and quickly learned post-marketing and clinical safety case processing.  She then moved up quickly with other companies as a Drug Safety Manager, PV System Owner, and into her current role.  Erin has experience with multiple therapeutic areas, including pediatric hematology/oncology, orthopedics, rheumatology, pain management, CNS/psychiatric disorders, and women’s health.

Erin’s business experience in clinical and post-marketing allows our clients to streamline processes, system maintenance, and increase compliance.  She is a key member in supporting our clients during internal, mock, and regulatory inspections.

Erin has worked with a variety of pharma and biotech companies of all sizes.  She has a wide variety of experience with multiple system migrations, implementations, and upgrades.  Her attention to detail, organization, and dedication is clear in the quality of her work and when speaking with our clients.  Over her career, Erin has worked with the core team of Nextrove for over 13 years.  She has worked at various companies including: PPD, a ThermoFisher Company, INC Research, Inc. (now Syneos Health), November Research Group, HighPoint Solutions, and IQVIA.

Erin has successfully completed multiple trainings and certifications, including EudraVigilance, Axway Gateway, and ITIL v3.

Erin holds a Bachelor of Science, Pre-Med/Pre-Vet Zoology, from North Carolina State University.

Outside of her professional duties, Erin is a hockey mom and team manager.  A North Carolina native, she loves spending time with her son, husband, and family at the rink, on the beach, or at a concert.
